The bowl is made of a copper alloy. It is 25 cm in diameter and 1 mm thick. It is turned or pressed out of a single sheet of metal.
The surface is covered with a thin brownishgreen patina and hard spots of bright green corrosion products. There are several cracks and a few small lose parts. The objects is very fragile.

16th century AD
Mechanical cleaning, dehydration and surfacecoating. The artefact was conserved at SVK 2016,
Mechanical cleaning with soft brushes and tapwater. Stability of the metal was checked in a humid chamber and active corrosion apeared after two days. The corrosion appeared in pits and was powdery and light green in colour. Probably bronzedisease. The artefact was carefully cleaned and plased in etanol for two weeks and further drying in an oven at 50 degrees for one week. Surfacetreatment with BTA and Paraloid B42.
